RICHARD HERRMANN: Politics Group Questions

1. Are the attempts from the international community to formulate a plan for peace worth it? How could the rest of the world effectively take part in this deep-rooted conflict? If you could, please touch on the role of the UN, specifically the Security Council, in this conflict and its future.

2. What can we learn from the Hebron model with respect to future possibilities in Jerusalem?

  1. Additional Question: How significant is the private interaction/negotiation between the United States, Israel and the Palestinian Authority or Hamas? Is there a degree of posturing that takes place to appease media outlets in the respective countries and are peace negotiations more developed than reported?
