Questions for Speakers Richard Hermann

According to Amnesty International and the UN, the Israeli government is guilty of numerous human rights violations of the Palestinian people. Why haven't they been held accountable and what would it look like in political terms for the international community to pressure them into ceasing and making restitution for these violations? What powerful nations (besides the U.S., which obviously won't any time soon) would get behind such a movement?

What kind of pressure will we see from the international community if Israel continues to build settlements in the E1 area of Jerusalem?

What role (if any) should other countries governments, like the United States, play in resolving the conflict?

What are some specific symptoms of post-traumatic stress syndrome (disorder) that permeate society in Jerusalem?

What changes can individuals make in Jerusalem, on either side, to help mediate the conflict since it seems governments have failed to find any solution? Can individuals make a difference or is the military and government presence to heavy?
